How to Care?
- Pyrostegia Venusta demands a little more water than usual in summers and lesser than usual in winters.
- Remove all the dead, infected, and damaged parts and discard them to prevent fungal and bacterial infections to the plant.
- Occasional pruning is a must for better growth of the Flaming Trumpet plant but try to avoid pruning harder.
- Loosen the topsoil before applying fertilizer to allow easy absorption of nutrients to the entire plant.
- Repot them once it overgrows the actual pot and chooses a bigger pot to provide enough space for better plant growth.
- Do not disturb the roots while repotting Pyrostegia Venusta, as it will kill the roots leading to more damage.
- Avoid repotting them immediately as you receive them, as the plant may get travel shocks and need to adjust.
- Provide a minimum of 2 weeks for the flaming trumpets to recover from travel shocks. Till then, keep them in bright sunlight and water thoroughly.
- It may get fungal or bacterial infections easily. It is advisable to spray fertilizer during the main growing seasons.
- Spray Neem oil or Eucalyptus oil against any fungal or bacterial infection to Pyrostegia Venusta plants.
- Keep an eye on the watering frequency as they don’t like to be in a moist place. Water only when the topsoil dries out completely.
- Keep them in a place where they receive at least 6 hours of sunlight every day to thrive at their best.
